Mirel Wagner
I can't remember how I first stumbled upon Mirel Wagner, I started this post ages ago. She's a singer from Finland, and honestly I don't know much about her. But she's a natural, and I want to promote that. ;) Her songs seem very Scandinavian singer song writerish, very mellow and low key. Just her and her guitar. This is the kind of music that sells in Scandinavia, so I'm guessing we'll hear more about her in the future.
Never heard of her before, she's born in Ethiopia and is 23 years old. Her sound reminds me of a mix of Kimya Dawson, Nouvelle Vague, Leonard Cohen and country/blues, with her songs about everything and nothing. With some intense melancholy. Definitely getting my hands on this.
