I would love the opportunity to try some of Jessicurl products. I have heard wonderful things about them. I have received a lot of crazy comments... But there are some that stick out more than others. "How long did it take you to curl your hair" (from a guy).

ReplyDeleteThe craziest comment I have ever received was : Where do you buy wigs like that!? (From a lady on a park bench who stopped me while I was walking with my hubby) I chuckled, sweetly smiled and told her from....God :P (She took it in good grace, eventually told her it was all mine)

ReplyDeleteCraziest comment I've heard regarding my hair, was actually a question of how do I keep my locs so clean!
ReplyDeleteCraziest comment about my daughter's hair when she was young, was when we were in the UK and a woman came up to her and said, "I like your hat."
ReplyDeleteMy nieces mother came over while I was in the middle of a mudwash, she looked at my hair strangely and asked what it was, when I explained what it was, she said "whooo weeee don't u know that you'll burn your hair off with these funny things mara!" I thought it was especially funny coz she has chemically relaxed limp (and dare I say burnt) hair...so I just smiled to myself
ReplyDeleteFunny crazy moment was when I was in a taxi a few years back in Cape Town, two Chinese women with straight black hair looked at me, then spoke in their language to each other, then turned back and asked me "is that wig". I said no its not. And they then said, 'Ahhh, it look good just like a wig" LOL. I laughed and said thank you. :-)

ReplyDeleteWhenever I wear my hair in a loose-twists style, I always get asked "what kind of weave is that?"
ReplyDeleteThe most offensive comment I got is someone asked me why I wanted to look like a slave. To which I just walked away. The nicest comment I got was from a woman in the grocery store and she said she admired my afro.
ReplyDeleteThe crazy moment I had happen 2 months ago, i did a big chop while my husband was at work. When he came home, late at night, he got in the bed and start to caress my hair and jumped out the bed.. i guess he thought i was someone else. Lol
